Hello and welcome back to Your Dream Life podcast!

Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee, walking in nature, or driving to work, this episode is all about starting your week with the right mindset as we prepare for a bright 2025. Today, I’ll share three powerful ways you can shift your mindset for the new year and create your dream life.

As we approach the end of the year, I like to remind myself and others that it’s not just about changing the date. It’s about changing your perspective—creating a fresh mental space to imagine what’s possible, reset, and realign with what truly matters. Let’s make sure you’re ready for 2025, not just in terms of what you want to achieve, but in how you approach each day. Your mindset is the key.

The theme for November’s dream life coaching program is setting the right mindset for 2025 because I know how much of a difference it can make. As we look ahead to 2025, one thing is certain: the power to create your dream life lies in your thinking. Our mindset shapes our actions, and our actions shape our reality.

So, how can we shift our mindset to step into 2025 feeling empowered, excited, and focused on our dreams? Today, I’m sharing three mindset shifts that can transform the year ahead. These shifts are simple, yet profound, and I’ll offer practical tips on implementing them into your life. Let’s dive in.

Mindset Shift 1: Adopt a Growth Mindset

Let’s start with a growth mindset. This is a concept I love, and many of you have probably heard of it. It’s the belief that we can always learn and grow, no matter where we are or what challenges we face. When we adopt a growth mindset, we stop seeing mistakes as failures and start seeing them as opportunities.

When I started my business, I had no experience and made plenty of mistakes. But each time I faced a challenge, I reminded myself it was part of the journey, part of the learning process. With that mindset, I kept moving forward, even when things got tough.

Tip for Implementation: Next time you face a challenge, pause and say, "This is helping me grow." Instead of thinking, "Why is this happening to me?" start thinking, "What is this teaching me?" This simple shift in language can make a huge difference in how you view challenges. If you feel stuck, try journaling about it. Write down the challenge and list three things it might be teaching you. This practice helps you reframe the situation and opens you up to growth.

Mindset Shift 2: Focus on Daily Wins

Now, let’s talk about the power of focusing on your daily wins. How often do you end the day thinking about what you didn’t get done? We’re all guilty of this, myself included. But what if we turned that around and focused on celebrating what we did achieve? This shift is simple but powerful.

I used to go to bed thinking about my never-ending to-do list, and it was draining. But when I started writing down my daily wins, even small ones, everything changed. I felt lighter, more accomplished, and more motivated to do even better the next day.

Tip for Implementation: Set aside 10 minutes each evening to reflect on your day. Use a notebook or journal—like our Daily Wins Journal—and jot down three things you’re proud of. It could be something as small as making a phone call you had been avoiding. Celebrating these wins shifts your mindset to one of gratitude and progress. It boosts productivity and rewires your brain to focus on positivity. Try this for a week and notice how your energy changes.

Mindset Shift 3: Dream Big and Plan Daily

Now for my favorite shift—dream big, but plan daily. I often talk about dreaming because it’s at the core of what I do. Dreams give us purpose and direction. But without a plan, dreams can easily get lost in the busyness of life. While I want you to dream big for 2025, I also want you to break down those dreams into small, actionable steps.

When I started my business, my dream was to inspire millions to pursue their dreams. It was a huge goal, but I didn’t let it overwhelm me. Instead, I broke it down into yearly, quarterly, monthly, and daily steps to move closer to that dream.

Tip for Implementation: Take time this week to reflect on your big dreams for 2025. Write down what you want to achieve. Each day, ask yourself, "What small step can I take today that will bring me closer to my dream?" This approach keeps you connected to your vision while making tangible progress every day. Small steps add up to big changes.

Bonus Tip: Create a Morning Ritual

Before we wrap up, I want to share a tip that has transformed my life: creating a morning ritual. How you start your day sets the tone for everything that follows. Spend 10 minutes each morning centering yourself—whether it’s journaling, meditating, or reading something inspiring. This time is about setting your intention for the day and cultivating the mindset you need to succeed.

Remember, as Annie Dillard said, "How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives." Let’s be intentional about how we spend them.

Thank you for joining me today. If you enjoyed this episode, please share it with a friend or leave a review. Until next time, think about your mindset, implement these steps, and stay inspired.

Totally agree with the part about thinking about all the things that have to be done. There are always things to be done and you can spend most of the night thinking about the next day (I have done it), You never get around to reflecting on what you actually achieved. Loved the advice to reflect on what you have achieved, it feels so much better for the mind and body
