Good morning & welcome back.
It’s Monday, and that means it’s time for a fresh start, a new beginning, and a chance to reset our focus for the week ahead.
Today, I want to talk about something that could completely change how you approach your days, your work, and ultimately, your life.
It’s a quote from Tim Ferriss:
"Focus on being productive instead of busy."
Take a moment to really let that sink in. Because if you’re anything like me—or like most of us—you’ve probably spent way too much time being busy.
Running from one thing to the next, ticking off endless to-do lists, replying to emails, attending meetings, juggling responsibilities… yet, at the end of the day, wondering, Did I actually move forward on the things that matter?
So today, let’s redefine productivity together.
Let’s talk about how to shift from the exhausting cycle of busyness to real, meaningful progress.
How to Be Truly Productive (Instead of Just Busy)
1. Know Your Priorities – The Rule of Three
Before you dive into your day, pause. Ask yourself:
➡ What are the three most important things I need to focus on today?
➡ Will these move me closer to my dream life?
Instead of writing a never-ending to-do list, identify just three key things that will make the biggest impact. And then, make them your non-negotiables.
If it’s not aligned with your dreams/goals or values, why is it taking up space in your day?
2. Time Block Like a Pro
Productivity is not about doing more things, it’s about doing the right things. Try this simple trick:
🕒 Set aside specific blocks of time for your important tasks.
📵 Put your phone away (yes, its so distracting to have your phone close to you)
🎯 Work in focused sprints of 25-50 minutes, then take short breaks.
Protect your focus like you would protect an important meeting. Because guess what? Your dreams are the most important meeting you have!
3. Eliminate "Fake Productivity"
Have you ever spent a whole day responding to emails, running errands, or checking social media, and then felt like you got nothingdone?
That’s fake productivity—tasks that keep you busy but don’t actually move you forward.
Today, challenge yourself:
🚫 Stop checking your phone including social media nad emails first thing in the morning.
🚫 Stop saying "yes" to things that don’t align with your dreams/ goals and values.
🚫 Stop multitasking (it makes you slower, not faster!).
Instead, pour your energy into deep, focused work that truly matters.
4. Create Space for What Matters
Productivity is not about filling every second of your day. In fact, true productivity happens when you create space.
⏳ Space to think.
☕ Space to reflect.
🌱 Space to grow.
