✨ Let Go of Limits: You Are More Capable Than You Think
by Kristina Karlsson
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “I can’t do that” or “It’s too late for me”?
You’re not alone. I’ve been there, and so have so many women in our community. But here’s something that changed everything for me—and I hope it will for you too:
“The only limits in life are the ones you make.” – Les Brown
This simple quote was the focus of this week’s Monday Motivation podcast, and I want to share a deeper reflection with you here—because sometimes, one insight can spark big change.
Let’s dive in.
💭 The Stories We Tell Ourselves
So often, the limits we experience aren’t real at all—they’re beliefs we’ve repeated so often they feel like facts.
“I’m not ready.”
“I’m too busy.”
“I could never do that.”
Sound familiar?
These aren’t truths. They’re just stories. And the best part? Stories can be rewritten.
🌱 My Story: From No Money to a Global Brand
Many years ago, I arrived in Australia with a dream and very little else—no money, no network, no business degree, and no experience in design or retail. But I had a vision: to open a beautiful Swedish design store.
Was I scared? Yes.
But thanks to some help from a friend, I came to realise that the biggest obstacle wasn’t outside of me—it was in my own mind.
So, I started taking one small, brave step at a time.
I moved through the fear, removed the limits, and chose to believe I was capable. And step by step, I created kikki.K and everything that followed: books, products, coaching, and now Dream Life.
This is not about me—it’s about showing what’s possible when you shift your mindset.
You can read a bit about my story here - which just might resonate with you.
🧠 So, What Limits Are Holding You Back?
Let’s explore the three-step process I shared in the episode to help you move past your own limits:
1. Name the Limit
Awareness is the first step to change.
Ask yourself: What’s one belief that’s keeping me stuck?
Write it down. It might be:
• “I’m not good with money”
• “I don’t have time”
• “I’m not smart enough”
Once it’s out of your head and onto paper, you can work with it.
2. Challenge the Story
Next, ask: Is this belief really true—or just familiar?
Could you reframe it?
Try this:
Instead of “I don’t have time”, say: “I haven’t made time yet, but I can.”
That tiny shift opens a door.
3. Take One Brave Step
What’s one small action you can take today that moves you past that limit?
Maybe it’s:
• Signing up for that class
• Speaking up in a meeting
• Journaling about your dream life
• Sending that email
• Asking for support
Tiny, consistent steps are powerful. They build confidence, momentum, and belief.
